After a medical practitioner has assessed your injury, if relevant, they will discuss your current functional ability and work restrictions with you. Restrictions are important during the injury recovery process so that the injury healing process is not impaired. As your injury recovers, your functional ability will improve, and your restrictions will be modified accordingly. Any restriction prescribed by your medical practitioner is applicable to your work and personal life in order to keep you safe from further harm. Your functional ability and restrictions will be clearly written on your Work Capacity Certificate (WCC).
